Hapi Mari Booklet: Part 2

Sorry for the delay!  This is the first comic strip (and the longest because it has 4 pages).  The last two only have two pages each.  My translation goes for each speech bubble and reads from right to left, then top to bottom.  So each line matches with each bubble, which is sometimes why you see that even if Chiwa keeps talking, it will be split into two lines to match the bubbles.  I haven't translated the "schedule" on the second page since it's pretty generic, like trying on dresses 6 months before, deciding on the invitations, having taste tests, rehearsals for dancing, deciding on the menu, deciding on the MC,  deciding on the program, the BGM, confirming guests, etc etc.  You get the gist.

Half a year before the ｗedding

H: Hey, speaking of which have you decided on the wedding invitations yet?

C: We still have time.  We hadn’t even had a meeting (with the wedding planner) yet .

H: Idiot!  I told you to decide by the first meeting!  Hurry and decide.

C: Eh, no way!  Really…

C: We still have half a year before the wedding, so we can take our time to decide~~

H: Ah…but I think the wedding planner is going to contact us soon.  She did say it would be about five months before the wedding.

C: Is that so…

H: You weren’t even listening back then were you…

At the venue

Planner (P): Please look at the materials here.  I’ll go through the overall schedule for the future meetings.

C: Eh…we have so many meetings ahead…

H: You haven’t even gone to search for your dress, and knowing you, it’ll definitely take more than one trip.  It’ll take up even more time.

H: If you continue like this…you’ll go panicking like “Do we have to pick our invitations from this list?!” or “We haven’t decided on our wedding bomboniere yet, could we have some more time?!”

C: No way!  I’ll do it right now!!

C: Uhh…

C: There’s so much on here…

H: Why are you taking all of it upon yourself?  I’m here, aren’t I.

C: But you’re busy.

H: Dummy, if you say that…

P: So next is the cake cutting.  About the first bite…

(T/N: I just looked this up because I didn’t know what it was, but apparently, it’s when the bride and groom feed the cake to each other.  When the groom feeds the bride, it’s supposed to symbolize his promise to never let her go hungry or worry about expenses.  When the bride feeds the groom, it’s supposed to symbolize her promise to cook delicious food for him for the rest of her life).

C: Of course we’ll do it.

H: Of course we won’t.

C/H: …………

C: I want the flowers to look like this for the venue.

H: I don’t.  It looks like bathroom decorations.

C/H: ……….

C: How can we possibly decide like this~~!

C: Uh…I shudder just thinking about it…

H: Besides not preparing in advance for the meeting, we always disagree when we do meet up with her because you decide everything by yourself.  That’s why we’re not moving forward.

H: I think you’re the only bride who doesn’t do preparations, though there are probably many who do it alone.

C: You’re so mean!  I was planning on doing it!

H: Ah, right right.

H: That’s why it’s important to prepare together.  Now let’s hurry and do it.

Chiwa stares at him.

H: What?

C: I didn’t think you were the type to be so enthusiastic about the wedding.

C: Let’s do our best!
